In 2015, the University of Michigan and the Central Botanical Garden of the National Academy of Sciences, Belarus, signed a formal Memorandum of Understanding to further research projects of mutual interest. The initial project focuses on the domestication, diversity and relationships among cultivated herbaceous peonies.
